The Casa Montero project made great efforts to link together basic research and technological innovation.  This led to the development of the first integral information system for an archaeological site (which can be accessed from this page). The aims of SILEX, which represents the spatial data infrastructure (SDI) of Casa Montero, were the complete publication of and the provision of free access to all the information generated by the Casa Montero project.   This R+D effort stands out in two ways: 

• by the creation of a new, technologically innovative product
• and by the general dissemination of all the quantitative and qualitative information obtained from the years of work on the site.
